Uhmm..I didn't want to create an almighty creature, nor an impossible beast, nor an ultra-assasin animal, so I created the Adeonth..
Uhmm..no quería crear una críatura omnipotente, ni una bestia imposible, ni un animal ultra-asesino, así q creé al Adeonte..

After roaming for a long time I finally arrived at a tavern, a simple looking pIace where I hoped to find some nformation. I sat down at the bar, it looked moderately clean, and glanced around. Nobody seemed to be very friendly or willing to talk. There was thin man sitting beside me, and with no one else around, I decided to give him a try.
"Hello, my good man." I began.
"Uh, hello," his teeth were yellow and beer froth was dripping between them.
"By any chance, would happen to have heard about Adeonths? I was told I could find them not very far from here.
"And," he burped loudly, "what're zose?"
"If you buy me a beer I'll tell you."
"Well," his glance seemed to wander aimlessly, "Nah," his voice slurred and a bit more froth dribbled down his mouth.
"Alright, alright, look, the Adeonth is a bird, quite large actually, let's say, as tall as a bullock, with little wings (in other words, unable to fly) and robust, scaly legs," I started, eager to hopefully jog his memory.
"Can it be eaten? I'm hungry. Y'know zat drinking a lot..."
"Yes, sure, but first you must catch it, and that is not so easy at all. They are quite evasive and, in case you happen to meet one, they can turn very aggresive," I continued again, more slowly this time.
He harumphed loudly, "Zey wouldn't 'ear me coming, for sure."
"Oh, of course they would! They have antennas on their heads able to detect the hormones released by any beasts around them." upon hearing "beasts" his face turned reddish, "In fact, that's the only way for their chicks to avoid getting lost and going with stranger Adeonths, for their eyes are covered by bone."
"Aha!" he hiccuped. "I guesss zat some antennas like zose'd would be useful for m'wife. She always leaves with other men.." he started to cry desperately, sounding very like a drowning cat.
After a few minutes I was able to calm him down and once again, started the conversation.
"Well, as I was telling you," my patience was wearing thin by this point.
"Eh!" he burped loudly, "Who ze hell are ya?"
"Are you really that drunk?"
"Mmnm, maybe," he smiled stupidly.
"I'm R*****, an Adeonth hunter."
"Uh," he nodded, "what's zat?"
It was at this point that I lost all patience. I knocked him down with a punch and left. I certainly wasn't going to find any helpful information here.

Sound: Something between gharial's and hawk's sound.
Diet: mainly crabs, small lizards, fishes threwn out by the tide and in occasions injured seagulls. They've also been seen eating certain kinds of fruits, like bananas or melons.
Habitat: enadyus forests near to the coast.
Life: they live approximately 50 years.
General information: Adeonths live in families of 4-8 individuals generally, of which two are the parents. They reproduce in summer, for their chicks takes 6 months to be born, that is, in autumn, season in which the leaves of the enadyus tree fall (tree similiar in shape and size to the little canary island date palm, with lise emerald green leaves) which they use to build their nests.
Their eggs are white with brown dots scattered all over the shell and the surface is porous.
The chicks' eyes don't develop until 8 months after birth. Until then they don't move apart from their parents, since they can recognize them by their antennas, which percieve the hormones released by the capsules located in different parts of their body. Also, their bodies are pretty vulnerable to
any predators attacks. When they reach the age of 13 they can become independant and form their own family. Normally, adeonts procreate every 15 years, but in case they show some kind of deficiency it's probable that they could do it only once in their whole life.
Their sight range is limited almost only to the sides, so the antennas never stop being useful for them, since an adult can percieve not only the hormones of their own species but also the ones from other species. They have bone plates from the nape to the end of the tail that protect them from possible back attacks. The males are the ones who hunt and, also because of their limited sight, they've got an eye-like mark on the frontal part of their beak that confuse their predators, making them think that the adenoth is staring at them. Besides, they're provided with a couple of fangs with which it injects a paralyzing substance. Their hormone capsules, in spite they seem to be soft, they're actually hard and resistant and extremely smooth to the touch. Normally they're reddish, but they can turn yellowish in case they have an illness.
While the male goes for hunting or picking fruits, the female watches over the youngs. Unlike the male, the female doesn't have the eye-like mark, instead of that, it has a series of horns from the beak to the mid-back, which it uses for protecting its chicks. To feed them, the mother first
grinds the food in its throat and then it regurgitates it onto the chicks' mouths.
The wings of the adeonth are small, so it's unable to fly. It can't swim, either, so the only chances they have to eat fishes is when the sea gives it to them.
According to Mr. R*****, an expert adeonth hunter, these creatures come from the Cenozoic era, and they never finished evolving completely in birds, and stands out a connection between adeonths and certain types of small dinosaurs. Even so, they've proven that their bones are hollow, as it's normal in birds, so it might be supposed that they have some kind of relation with ostriches or rheas.
Mr. R***** thinks that they also have a relation with vulptures and other birds of prey.
Mr. R***** suggests that an adult is able to reach 29mph if they happen to be in a hurry. He has also said that the taste of its meat is similar to turkey's, but stronger and a little spicy.
Craftsmen make the best use of adeonths' bones to make diffenrent items, from knives to necklaces, that are sold at very high prices due to the difficulty of catching them. Its feathers also have a high value in the market due to their smoothness and firmness, and are used for decorate dresses and hats. The teeth of the male have been useful to create varied vaccines and anaesthesics. The hormone capsules have been useful to develop alternative medicine, especially related to malfunctions of the hypothalamus.
According to Mr. R*****, the place where adeonths can be found more frequently is in the occidental shores of Central and South America, and in certain places of southern Asia.

Después de mucho andar finalmente llegué a una taberna,
un lugar agradable y sencillo donde esperaba encontrar algo de información.
Me senté en la barra, se veía moderadamente limpia, y miré a mi alrededor. Nadie parecía muy amigable o dispuesto a conversar. Había un menudo hombrecillo sentado junto amí, y con nadie más cerca, decidí intentar hablar con él.
"Hola, mi buen hombre." Comencé.
"Uh...hola" sus dientes eran amarillos y la espuma de la cerveza chorreaba por entre ellos.
"¿De casualidad has oído hablar de los Adeontes? Me han dicho que no muy lejos de aquí puedo hallar unos cuantos."
"¿Y esos.." eructó muy fuerte, "...qué son?"
"Si me pagas una cerveza te lo cuento."
"Pues...." su mirada pareció perderse en la nada "nahhh..." su voz se arrastraba y un poco más de espuma goteó desde su boca.
"Bueno, bueno, mira, el Adeonte es un ave, bastante grande en realidad, digamos, tan alto como un buey, de alas pequeñas (o sea, incapaz de volar) y patas robustas y escamosas." Empecé, ansioso de refrescar su memoria.
"¿Se puede comer? Tengo hambre...tú sabes que beber mucho..."
"Sí, claro, pero primero debes atraparlo, cosa nada fácil. Son muy evasivos y, en caso de encontrarte con uno, pueden volverse muy agresivos." continué nuevamente, más lento esta vez.
"Hmpph...seguro no podrían sentirme llegar."
"¡Oh, claro que sí! Poseen antenas en su cabeza capaces de percibir las hormonas liberadas por las demás bestias alrededor." al oír <<bestias>> su rostro enrojeció "De hecho, es la única forma que tienen sus crías para no perderse e irse con Adeontes extraños, pues sus ojos están cubiertos por hueso."
"Ajá...¡hic!..ssupongo que a mi esposa le vendrían bien antenas como esas...siempre se va con otros hombres..." comenzó a llorar desenfrenadamente, sonaba como un gato ahogándose. Luego de algunos minutos pude al fin tranquilizarlo y quise reentablar nuestra conversación.
"Bien, como le iba diciendo..." mi paciencia se estaba agotando a esas alturas.
"¡Eh! Y tú....burrpp..¿quién demonios eresss?"
"¿Acaso tan borracho estás?"
"Mmnmnn..puede ser.." sonrió estupidamente.
"Soy R*****, cazador de Adeontes."
"Uh.." asintió "y...¿eso que es?"
En ese momento fue que perdí toda paciencia. Lo derribé de un puñetazo y me fui, convencido de que no podría recibir información útil en aquel lugar.

Sonido: Una mezcla entre el sonido del gavial y el del halcón.
Dieta: principalmente cangrejos, lagartijas, peces arrojados por la marea y en ocasiones gaviotas heridas. También se les ha visto comer ciertas frutas, como bananas o melones.
Hábitat: bosques de enádeos cercanos a la costa.
Vida: viven aproximadamente 50 años.
Datos generales: Los Adeontes viven en familias de entre 4 y 8 individuos generalmente, de los cuales dos son los padres. Se reproducen en verano, pues sus crías tardan aproximadamente 6 meses en nacer, es decir, en otoño, estación en la que caen las hojas del árbol enádeo (árbol parecido en forma y tamaño a las pequeñas palmeras canaria, de hoja lisa de color verde esmeralda), las cuales usan para construir sus nidos.
Sus huevos son blancos con pintas marrones esparcidas por toda la cáscara y tienen una superficie porosa.
Los ojos de las crías no se desarrollan hasta los 8 meses de haber nacido. Hasta entonces no se separan de sus padres, a los que reconocen por medio de sus antenas, las cuales perciben las hormonas liberadas por las capsulas ubicadas en distintas partes de su cuerpo. Además, sus cuerpos son demasiado vulnerables a cualquier ataque de sus depredadores. Cuando alcanzan la edad de 13 años pueden independizarse y crear su propia familia. Normalmente, los adeontes procrean cada 15 años, pero en caso de presentar alguna deficiencia es probable que sólo puedan hacerlo una vez en su vida.
Su rango de visión se limita casi únicamente hacia los lados, por lo que las antenas nunca dejan de serles útiles, pues un adulto puede percibir no sólo las hormonas de su propia especie, sino también las de otras especies. Tienen placas de hueso desde la nuca hasta el final de la cola que los protege de posibles ataques traseros. Son los machos quienes cazan y, debido también a su limitada visión, poseen una marca en forma de ojo en la parte frontal del pico que les sirve para confundir a sus depredadores, haciéndoles pensar que los está observando fijamente. Además, están provistos de un par de colmillos con los que inyecta una sustancia paralizante. Sus capsulas hormonales, a pesar de parecer blandas, en realidad son duras y resistentes y sumamente suaves. Normalmente son rojizas, pero pueden tornarse amarillentas en caso de presentar alguna enfermedad.
Mientras el macho sale de caza o recolección, la hembra cuida a las crías. La hembra, a diferencia del macho, no posee la marca en forma de ojo, en cambio, tiene una serie de cuernos desde el pico hasta media espalda, los que usa para proteger a sus crías. Para darles de comer, primero muele el alimento en su garganta y luego la regurgita en la boca de los polluelos.
Las alas del adeonte son pequeñas, por tanto, son incapaces de volar. Tampoco pueden nadar, por lo que la única oportunidad que tienen de comer peces es cuando el mar se los entrega.
Según el Sr. R*****, un experto cazador de adeontes, estas criaturas provienen del período Cenozóico, y que nunca acabaron de evolucionar completamente en aves, y resalta una relación entre el adeonte y ciertos dinosaurios pequeños. Aún así, se ha comprobado que sus huesos son huecos, como es normal en las aves, por lo que podría presumirse que tienen alguna clase de relación con las avestruces o ñandúes. El Sr. R***** también suele relacionarlos con buitres y otras aves de rapiña.
El Sr. R***** afirma que un adulto es capaz de alcanzar los 47km/h si se ve en un apuro. También ha dicho que su carne tiene un sabor similar al pavo, pero más fuerte y algo picante.
Los artesanos aprovechan los huesos del adeonte para fabricar distintos artículos, desde cuchillos hasta collares, que se venden a muy alto precio debido a la dificultad de su captura. Sus plumas también poseen un alto valor en el mercado debido a su suavidad y firmeza, y son utilizadas para adornar vestidos y sombreros. Los dientes del macho han servido para crear diversas vacunas y anestesias. Las capsulas hormonales han servido para desarrollar medicinas alternativas, especialmente relacionadas con disfunciones del hipotálamo.
Según el Sr. R*****, el lugar donde los adeontes se encuentran con mayor frecuencia es en las costas occidentales de Centro y Sudámerica, y en ciertos lugares de Asia meridional.
